Kiss of rain
As the breeze blows and the clouds roar,
The mind wanders to a distant land,
A place where none inhibit,
Only me the green grass and mountains beckon.
Pitter patter the rain comes,
A welcome sight though some may fear,
Bringing with it a hope for tomorrow,
A thirst quenched a field replenished.
Puddles of water all across,
Children happy to spray until scolded,
Light mist of droplets in the air,
Making the skin moist and somber
As I walk along the street,
Criss-crossing, lest I stain a night’s effort,
Am reminded that splashing is only fun,
If one to splash is around
As the raincoats and umbrellas come out,
I leave care to the wind,
The kiss of rain I must feel,
As I walk to the end of my time.

oh wow…..its beautiful and full of life
rains for that matter inspire a lot of life and beauty!!
this is amazing, i really liked the poem, i think it is written from the heart… and it just goes to show that the simple things in life delight us more than anything else….
