Those were 3 sleepless nights, that i can never forget, with the uncertainty of what would happen. Though the insti security do their job well it did leave us dumbfounded when it took 3 days for the armed forces to find and bring to book those involved in the attacks. It was even more unnerving to know that it was some of our own who had helped carry out these attacks. What is more appalling is that it has happened again and if i remember correctly the last time, the Mumbai spirit was spoken about, the terror attacks were dissected, the government was questioned and after that everyone forgot. All because the average Indian has more to think about than his own security, and question it. Which brings me to the questions that keep rattling my mind.
Are we as a people to blame for electing authority that is incompetent, or are we not serious enough with what we do?
There has been upheaval in countries which were not satisfied with their corrupt polity, are we next, or are we too busy to do the needful ?
There have been multiple examples in the recent past and the people have succeeded in bring to book their polity. Are we waiting for the next election, the next agenda to just keep talking amongst ourselves, about what can happen?
Do I as a citizen of a powerful democracy just exercise my right to freedom of speech by writing a blog that reaches a section of the educated class, who don’t even want to bat an eye lid when terror attacks happen as soon as they are happy that it does not affect them?
Can we as Indians stop bending forward and keep exposing our ends to ridicule, and stand up and ask the polity whether they value each person that votes, rather than each vote they get?
Why can Mumbai wake up each day even with such trauma as not being able to reach home safely?
It has always been the people who have been instrumental in change, we as a people under a sound leadership brought down an empire, not long ago. Why aren’t we asking our current leadership for our safety to be taken seriously?
Do we need a catastrophe to be awakened, I am sure if a city can be targeted more than once, we have a catastrophe looming largely upon us.?
For years we are used to being treated like waste, since politicians know that “yeh nahi toh aur sahi, aur nahi toh aur sahi” and the population does not want to resolve differences and move ahead. Even when out of the country we try especially hard to maintain those differences. When are we going to demand that we as human beings be valued in a society which is so diverse, rather being valued for being just a Vote and that too only once in 5 years.?
Why do we support division, is it just to value our insecurities or is it just to see ourselves through the next hill along the road?
Are we waiting for someone from the outside to come and change things for us, since we are so immersed within ourselves that we cannot think of change?
Questions are but questions? And if we stop asking them we stop being human. I don’t have answers but I sure have a lot of questions that need to be answered sooner or later.

it will happen again and again…. till the time “we” are sleeping… wake up India… and challange this
